Hey all,
I was just wondering if anyone had ever read the book - the island of the blue dolphins? I read it in the 4th grade, and loved it. it was an awsome book.

Wow i read that in 6th grade that was, about 14 years ago now?

At the time it bored me to tears, but from what I do remember about it I think I'd appreciate the book a lot more now should I ever get the chance to reread it.

Yes, I read that book when I was about 10 or so. Years later, I obtained a free Braille copy of it, because, even as an adult, I still like it. *Smile*

I read it in 4th and then got the tape and now I have it electronically somewhere. I love it. I think it's such a creative, well-told story. It's one of those books that you can get a lot more out of later in life, but still enjoy as a kid. Plus, it's beautifully written. I loved the vivid descriptions of nature and people, and the way Karana saw things in her own way, etc...

That was a really good book! I loved it a lot. I think I read it more then once. The description was wonderful, and I loved the relationship between Caronna, and the animals, as well as the eloot girl.

Yeah, I read it, I think I read it for something, I forgot what. I was chattering about it for days. I don’t think it would appeal to me now, though. I loved those whild dogs in it.
